Setting the FaxPress Plus Server Properties

Other Related Topics...

The FaxPress Plus Server Properties, a collection of the FaxPress Plus server’s configurable fax parameters, are accessed through FaxPress Plus, the client-based administration and fax transmission utility. FaxPress Plus is available on client workstations after the FaxPress Plus client software is installed.

If you have not yet configured the FaxPress Premier for basic operation, see Configuring the FaxPress Premier .

The FaxPress Premier Server Properties include these settings:

Server Settings

*Line Settings

Storage Reclamation

*Dialing Properties

Advanced Functions

Castelle Internet Faxing

Load Sharing

*Email

*DID/PBX

Routing Type (Digital Premier)

Server Information

User Authentication (Novell only)

*Configuration required.

Two of the FaxPress Premier’s Server Properties, the Line Settings and the Dialing Properties, require configuration immediately, before the FaxPress Premier can send and receive faxes. The Email properties should also be configured. These settings enable the Premier to send system alert notices to the administrator and send faxes to email as well as fax recipients. They also allow users to access their email address books for fax addressing, and for fax/email integration using the Email Gateway. The DID/PBX settings must also be configured for integration with your PBX system and DID trunk.

To configure DID/PBX integration, see Automatic Routing and PBX Integration.

The rest of the Server Properties can be configured as needed after the FaxPress Premier is operational.
